Our appointments are always one-on-one and scheduled with enough time to focus on you. You can expect a detailed exam, a thorough explanation, cost effective treatment, and a plan of what to expect. Our doctors are among the few chiropractors in Georgia that are certified in Active Release Techniques (ART)
We start by looking at the global picture of how your body is ordered, how your body moves, and how one issue can lead to problems elsewhere. This helps us to systematically identify the root cause of any pain, dysfunction, or areas holding you back from your movement potential. From this point, we will use a combination of manual therapy, education, and progressive exercises to create lasting change.

We can't wait to work with you!

Dr. Ryu graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2000 having earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. It was sports that eventually brought Dr. Ryu to his first experience with Chiropractic care. While playing tennis, he suffered a lower back injury, which was the worst pain he had ever experienced. It was affecting the quality of his life and his ability to do the things he loved to do. Initially, he received traditional medical treatment without satisfying results.

Fortunately, he was referred to a chiropractor for help. He began getting adjusted regularly and thanks to chiropractic, his low back injury was resolved. Regular chiropractic care also helped Dr. Ryu get rid of migraines that he suffered from for several years. His improved health through chiropractic care inspired him to become a chiropractor himself, and he graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

With 15 years of experience, Dr. Ryu’s practice is very versatile and treats patients of all ages. He enjoys treating a wide variety of cases including, but not limited to: sports injuries, occupational injuries, families, sprain/strain injuries, pregnancy and motor vehicle accident injuries.

Dr. Ryu utilizes a comprehensive functional movement assessment to identify the causes of the problem. He integrates chiropractic adjustment with soft tissue therapy, such as Active Release Technique and Graston, and functional rehabilitation to provide comprehensive care for recovery and improving performance.

His goals are to help you be: pain free, gain mobility, maintain wellness, and to perform your individual goals. He creates treatment plans based on your individual needs and focuses on ensuring a smooth recovery by prescribing at-home, condition-specific exercises to take your healing beyond the clinic.

He focuses his assessment to any areas of the body which exhibit symptoms and/or imbalances. By treating many athletes and their sports injuries, Dr. Ryu put an emphasis on treating extremity problems (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, knees, ankles/feet). He utilizes his expertise in extremity adjusting and soft tissue manual therapy to promote proper recover and optimal performance.

Dr. Ryu uses a very specific adjusting method known as the Gonstead Technique. The Gonstead system is one of the most advanced and scientific methods for correcting spinal misalignment or subluxations. Dr. Ryu took numerous courses over several years and became certified in the Gonstead Technique while at Life University. Dr. Ryu approaches the spine biomechanically and uses the Gonstead Technique to be as precise, specific, and gentle as possible to restore the affected vertebra back into place as effectively as possible so he can restore the integrity of your spine.

He utilizes a hands-on approach to motor vehicle injuries as well. His expertise in auto injuries provides patients with the most effective and comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation to ensure an optimal outcome. His wealth of knowledge and years of experience allow for a streamlines process for each case, in which he provides a clear narrative and detailed medical records for each patient.

Dr. Ryu enjoys playing tennis and soccer but most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their two amazing children, Joseph and Jayden.

Originally from Leesburg, Georgia, Dr. Chandler Turnipseed, AKA Dr. T, was introduced to chiropractic care while racing motocross. After recovering from a compression fracture in his thoracic spine, Dr. T visited his local chiropractic clinic to help alleviate the remaining pain and stiffness. After his first visit, not only had the pain decreased dramatically, but he could move better and more freely while racing. It was not long after this that Dr. T was treated with Active Release Techniques for the first time. Within the first week of treatments with ART, the chronic hip and leg pain that had started nearly 8 years before was gone. These two instances solidified Dr. T’s future path as a doctor of chiropractic.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness from Georgia Southwestern State University, his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, and received his certification as a Primary Spine Practitioner from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. T’s interest in working with athletes stems from his days playing baseball and racing motocross. He has treated competitive athletes in many sports such as triathlon, marathon, powerlifting, CrossFit, baseball, football, soccer, and motocross.

Dr. T uses movement/mechanical assessment to analyze how a person moves in their day to day life as well as in their work and sport-specific movements. This is key in proper diagnosis, classification, and treatment of their conditions. In addition to traditional chiropractic adjustments and joint mobilizations, Dr. T uses soft tissue techniques, such as Active Release Technique and Graston Technique, and rehab exercises to better help his patients.

Dr. T has completed post-graduate training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and earned certification as a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP). The PSP functions as primary-contact provider for patients with spine and other neuromusculoskeletal disorders. This involves taking responsibility for managing most patients without the need for special tests or specialist referrals. It also involves identifying the minority of patients who do require further diagnostic evaluations (X-ray, MRI, CT, EMG/NCV, or lab work) or specialized interventions (injections and surgery). Further, the PSP serves as inter-professional care coordinator, referring patients for the appropriate test or specialty service, and following up after these referrals to continually guide the patient toward management and resolution of their complaints. An important aspect of this role is educating the patient on the risks, benefits, and research evidence of all treatments so that, through a shared decision making process, appropriate choices can be made as to what is the best treatment for the patient. In addition, the PSP is tasked with helping the patient navigate the often-complex social systems, particularly for patients whose injuries arose from a work-related incident or personal injury.

Dr. T’s practice philosophy is simple: help you with your pain and then help you meet your goals.

“Communication about care is the top priority and my job is to create a plan tailored to you and for you to have an active role in meeting your goals. We’ll guide you along that path with the best evidence and information we have. We take our time, answer questions, and research more when needed.”

This is called patient centered care and puts you at the front of treatment decisions.

❌ ACCEPTING LIMITED NEW PATIENTS - CALL TO BOOK ❌ Introduced to chiropractic at a young age, Dr. Jong Lee has relied on this natural healing power to cure a chronic shoulder injury that he sustained during a National Judo Tournament in high school. His injury left him crippled from daily activities and it was labeled as “surgical” from medical doctors. Discouraged, Dr. Lee looked to chiropractic which ultimately resolved his injury, returning his shoulder to a normal range of motion. Eventually, he was able to fully return to practicing Judo. Dr. Lee was inspired by the natural philosophy of chiropractic and it led him towards his degree in Doctor of Chiropractic. He graduated Cum Laude in 2006 from Life University in Marietta, GA.

One of Dr Lee’s favorite hobbies is scuba diving. He completed the NAUI Open Water Diver course in 2014 and is certified in underwater hunting, spearfishing and night diving. Though he most often dives in Florida waters, he has also enjoyed dives in Hawaii and Caribbean including Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Japan.
